A few minutes now can save thousands later. Only do what's safe.
Shut off the water
Find your main valve, usually in the basement near the front wall, and turn it clockwise.
Kill the power
If water is near outlets or the panel, turn off power to those areas, only if you can do it dry.
Lift what matters
Move photos, rugs and electronics off wet floors. Put foil under furniture legs.
Take photos
Shoot every wet room before anything moves. Your insurance claim starts here.

RemodelingWhy North Jersey calls DryMax
One company, start to finish
Most restoration companies leave once things are dry, and you're left finding a contractor. We stay. The same team that dried your basement and cleared the mold rebuilds the walls, floors and cabinets, or takes on a complete remodel of the room.
We prove it's dry
We map moisture with meters and thermal cameras on the first visit, then take readings every day. Equipment comes out when the numbers say the structure is dry, not when a schedule says so. That's how good water damage restoration keeps mold from showing up months later.
We document everything
Photos, moisture readings and drying logs from start to finish. Hand them to your insurance adjuster, your landlord or your property manager. You'll always know what we found, what we did and why.
We're close to home for families and businesses in Essex, Morris, Bergen, Passaic and Hunterdon counties. When you call, a real person answers, day or night, and gets a crew moving.
When it's your house, it's personal. So we treat every job like it's ours.
I started DryMax in 2018 because people with water in their home deserve a straight answer and a crew that shows up. We dry it right, we prove it with readings, and if mold or a rebuild is part of it, we finish the job. You won't get passed off to someone else.
Straight answers
You'll know what we found, what it needs and why, before any work starts.
Proof, not promises
Moisture readings and photos at every step, so you and your adjuster see what we see.
Start to finish
Water, mold and the rebuild, done by one team you already know.
Mold can start growing in 24 to 48 hours
That is the window the EPA gives for drying wet materials. If water sat too long, or you smell that musty basement smell, we contain it first so spores don't spread through the house.
- Plastic containment and negative air on every job
- Protective suits, respirators and HEPA vacuums
- Testing before and after, so you have proof it's gone

Questions we hear every day
How fast can you get here?
We answer around the clock and send a crew as soon as you call. Call or text your town and we'll give you a real arrival time.
Will my insurance cover water damage?
Many homeowner policies cover sudden damage like a burst pipe or a failed water heater. We document everything, including photos, moisture readings and drying logs, so your adjuster has what they need.
How long does drying take?
Most rooms dry in about three to five days, depending on the materials and how long the water sat. We take readings every visit and only pull equipment when the numbers say it's dry.
Do I need mold testing?
If you smell mustiness, see spots, or water sat for more than a day or two, testing tells you what's there and how far it spread before anything gets removed.
Do you work with property managers and businesses?
Yes. We handle commercial water damage in offices, retail spaces and multi-family buildings, and we plan drying around your hours so tenants and customers are disrupted as little as possible.
What should I do before you arrive?
If it's safe, shut off the main water valve, turn off power to wet areas, move valuables off wet floors and take photos of every wet room. Then call or text us and we'll walk you through the rest.
Do you do the repairs after drying?
Yes. DryMax does complete remodeling, so after water damage or mold we rebuild drywall, insulation, flooring, trim and cabinets. We also take on full basement, kitchen and bathroom remodels.
Do you do fire damage or carpet cleaning?
No. We focus on water damage, mold and remodeling.
Got water where it shouldn't be?
Call or text now and we'll tell you exactly what to do while we're on our way.
